Stories about Vidette Gold Mine Resort

Letters from Guests

There is lots to do and see, so don't forget hiking boots, camera or sketchbook and explore the Deadman Valley; discover abandoned homesteads and the remnants of gold mines. See hoodoos, red, green and yellow volcanic cliffs, rock formations like castles, made of white limestone, and a chain of five lakes. Look down the gorgeous chasm of the Deadman Falls. Watch wildlife: deer, beaver, coyote, black bear and otter are quite common, but you can also spot moose, wolf, cougar and lynx. Osprey, bald eagle, kingfisher, geese and loons share the lakes with you, and you can feed the hummingbirds on your private sun decks.
